Sinergia BCN Pilates & Wellness was born after years of practice as a physical therapist and Pilates to offer wellness and a healthier lifestyle using movement as a pillar with Pilates in its core.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life and the physical and emotional health of our clients through a comprehensive and functional approach applicable to the daily routine.
My name is Diana, the owner, I’m a titled physical therapist by the Universidad Santa Paula (Costa Rica) and the UIC (Spain). I’ve been working for more than 10 years in rehabilitation through movement. I hold a classical Pilates certification from the Pilates Center of Las Vegas (USA), a Therapeutic Pilates certification from Polestar Education (Spain) and a Gyrokinesis® instructor certificate by Gyrotonic Expansion System. In the last few years I’ve also become a nutritional coach to complete my therapy approach backed up by a nutrition degree from the Universitat de Valencia (Spain) and PNI from the Regenera Clinic Barcelona (Spain).
My vision about Pilates:
I believe that Pilates is a method that we never stop learning from, it changes our bodies, our habits, our sensations and even our minds, being one of the best tools for rehabilitation. Through the resistance of the springs and our own body, it increases the strength of the deep muscle tissue along and articular stability with particularly special benefits to the spine.
About Gyrokinesis®:
Gyrokinesis is a training and expansion method that works the whole body through the basic spine movement patterns as a foundation..
It’s characterized by a soft and systematic work on the joints and muscles through rhythmic and wave-like exercises with coordinated breathing to stimulate general mobility and the internal organs.
On nutritional coaching:
I look at nutrition from an evolutionary, scientific and integral perspective.
It’s a personalized treatment aimed at reaching global health. I believe nutrition is dynamic, as our knowledge is continually updated with the most recent studies about our body and the ever-changing environment in which is harder to maintain a healthy lifestyle, hence the need for additional techniques to permanently improve our quality of life besides the classical diet plans.
