Also known as the Museu Blau, El Museu de Ciències Naturals (Museum of Natural Science) is a scientific and public institution that serves the community. Founded over 140 years ago, its natural heritage collections in the fields of mineralogy, petrology, palaeontology, zoology and botany comprise more than four million specimens. Situated in the Forum Park, its new facilities are used mainly for public exhibitions, workshops, conferences and as a media resource center.
