This exhibition invites us to discover the secrets of our star and to show us the fascinating history of the relationship of the human being with the sun: for centuries, astronomers have used instruments of all kinds to study it and reveal new scientific knowledge. 

Scientists today strive to better predict and understand the behavior of the sun and its impact on our lives. The sun determines life on earth, the day and night, the seasons and the length of the year. Scientists strive to be aware of the benefits that the sun has on our livelihoods, but also of the potential health risks that arise from exposure to solar radiation.

Viisitors have the chance to see more than one hundred historical and contemporary pieces related to the sun. From ancient observation instruments to prototype nuclear fusion reactors!
