This concert represents the opportunity to enjoy spiritual and enchanting music: a genuine family gathering of gospel made in Mississippi. In 1975, The Staples Jr. Singers released their first and only album, When Do We Get Paid. In 2022, the New York label Luaka Bop, which has also released albums by William Onyeabor, Floating Points and Alice Coltrane, reissued this old treasure, whose original copy is highly coveted by collectors. More than four decades and three generations later, the original members are still active on the circuit. The Staples Jr. Singers arrive at Mas i Mas 2024 to present the most acclaimed repertoire of this wonderful music.
