Mas i Mas Festival
April 1–September 6, 2026, various locations in Barcelona
Most people accept that the options for cultural activities wane significantly in the heat and many can happily replace it with a nice, leisurely stroll to the nearest beach and indulge in a heat-induced coma for a month. But the Mas i Mas group bargained on there being a substantial portion of the population who didn’t appreciate the drought in things to do, and they’ve been answering those people’s wishes since 2003. After 20 years of filling Barcelona with music during the month of August, the festival has expanded to a six month program. Starting in April and running all the way though to September the Mas i Mas Festival caters to wide range of musical tastes, providing concerts for fans of jazz, blues, flamenco, classical, techno and groove. Details and tickets available on the festival website. masimasfestival.com

Blaumarí Music Festival
June 10–28, 2026, Port Vell, Barcelona
The Blaumarí Music Festival debuts this summer at Port Vell with a lineup that brings together some of the most outstanding voices and acts on the international and national scene. Throughout June, Moll de Barcelona transforms into an open-air stage where live music is experienced in an intimate setting with quality sound and meticulous staging. The event's main attraction is its floating stage built on the infrastructure of the Boat Show in the waters of Port Vell with the city as its backdrop.
The lineup blends styles and generations, bringing together top-level artists like artists like Rosana, Kamasi Washington, The Cardigans, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Alan Parsons Live Project and Joss Stone headlining a program marked by musical diversity. They are joined by artists such as Gipsy Kings by Andrés Reyes and Rufus Wainwright, along with offerings that lend a special character to the festival, such as DJ Symphonic & Royal Film Concert Orchestra, a performance of La Traviata and the traditional Nit d’Havaneres (Night of Havaners).
But Blaumarí is about more than music—the concert series features a gastronomic proposal with 14 Barcelona restaurants showcasing an eclectic combination that brings together the pizzas of the award-winning Trafalgar Pizza Club with oysters, tacos and a selection of tapas and small plates designed for all audiences. In addition, the drinks offer combines classic cocktails, traditional proposals and the creation of the Blaumarí Cocktail: a liquid tribute to the festival, its Mediterranean identity and the artistic promotion of the city.

BACHcelona Festival
July 7–15, 2026, various locations in Barcelona
Launched in 2013 in homage to the great composer Johan Jebastian Bach, the BACHcelona Festival strives to bring Bach out of the somewhat stuffy setting of the concert hall and breathe some life into the rigid and dusty image we have of his work. The 18th-century German musician was a master of composition and improvisation, and this annual festival is dedicated to shining a light on his brilliance through an array of activities and concerts. The festival takes place in some of the most beautiful historical venues in Barcelona, including La Pedrera, Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi and Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. Concert and ticketing information are available via the festival website. bachcelona.com

Festival Cruïlla
July 8–11, 2026, Parc del Fòrum, Barcelona

ALMA Festival
2026 Dates to be announced (maybe?)
After just three editions in Poble Espanyol, Alma Festival might be looking for a new Barcelona home. The festival's promoter Concert Studio lost the concession to The Project, which is organizing the new BARTS Festival in its place. While Madrid's ALMA Festival dates are set, it's unknown if ALMA Festival will continue in Barna. To further complicate matters, promoter Concert Studio is in the process of bankruptcy. Fans of ALMA will keep their fingers crossed.
Over the years, ALMA Festival has brought together international artists from a wide range of genres for a relaxed, family-friendly series of concerts. The event began 13 years ago in the lush gardens of the Pedralbes Palace to celebrate the history and beauty of the city and to offer an escape from city life—even if just for an evening. Last year's program included performances from Wilco, The Cult, Alan Parsons Live Project, The Corrs, Los Tigres del Norte, Madness, Parov Stelar, Rag’n’Bone Man—and many more! Alongside the headliners, the festival offered a relaxing spot to recharge your batteries; The Village provided a space to relax and grab a bite to eat as you listened to the music of emerging artists. In 2025, tickets ranged from €39 to €187. almafestival.info
