In a session at the CCCB, palaeontologist Leslea Hlusko (a researcher at the Atapuerca archaeological site) will explore the different ways of studying the human condition. She will also talk with Carola Ortiz and Toni Pou about the centrality of creativity to science and music.
Leslea Hlusko has dedicated her career to studying human evolution, acting as a disseminator of Darwin’s legacy. In this session, she will take the audience through laboratories, bookstores, and museums to show us different ways of studying the human condition, while inviting us to reflect on the role of creativity in scientific research. Following this overview of different approaches to studying humanity, Hlusko will talk with the artist Carola Ortiz and the physicist Toni Pou about creative experiences in science and in the arts, with musical accompaniment by Octavio Salman, Lucía Fumero, Olushola and Miguel Talavera.
This activity has been organized within the Barcelona Evolution Day program and in the context of international meeting EVOKE BCN 21. The debate will be held in English with a simultaneous translation into Catalan.
