An inexhaustible machine for making funk, soul and disco hits during the 70s and 80s, Kool & The Gang arrives at Porta Ferrada to heat up the summer even more with hymns like "Jungle Boogie" (claimed by Quentin Tarantino in Pulp Fiction), "Open Sesame" (one of the jewels of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack) and "Summer Madness" (included in another iconic film: Rocky). Still led by brothers Robert and Ronald Bell, Kool & The Gang remains king of the dance floor—with songs like "Get Down On It," and "Celebration" it's impossible not to move your body!
The group's impressive resume includes 70 million records sold, two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards and 31 gold and platinum records. The New Jersey group celebrated half a century of making music last year and remains one of the most influential R&B bands in history.
