Rarely do you witness two talents as unconventional and personal in their artistic expression as Israel Galván and Marlene Monteiro Freitas. Their collaboration, born at the Festival d’Automne in Paris and since showcased at various festivals, arrives at the Grec.
Galván, renowned for his innovative flamenco style, merges sophisticated steps and intricate choreography, while Monteiro Freitas, with a background in dance and performance art, explores change and metamorphosis in her work. Trained at P.A.R.T.S in Brussels, Monteiro Freitas has garnered acclaim for pieces like Bacantes – Prelúdio para uma Purga (2019) and Idiota. Galván, a regular at the Grec Festival de Barcelona, has impressed audiences with productions like La fiesta and Seises. Together, they present a unique encounter on stage, blurring the lines between show and artistic collaboration.
