In the ardent search for an answer to the chaos and ruin that dominate life in the socialist Bolivarian Republic of the 20th century, Ángela Bonadies and Juan José Olavarría lead us on a staggering adventure through the labyrinths of power: the belly of the criminal beast.

In the various episodes or “takes” throughout the exhibit, we will be transported from favela dwellings to prison spaces; from tunnels, altars and barracks to the strongholds of the warlord, an elusive figure who hides behind the identities of “the ventriloquist,” “the evil magician,” “the false priest” and “the puppet,” and who represents a macho military authority characteristic of a violent culture.
