Barcelona Design Week is aimed towards bringing the design world closer to the public by showing the transformative capacity of design in the face of the unprecedented changes we are experiencing throughout society in social, economic, ecological and cultural spheres.
Facing a global scenario marked by uncertainty, complexity and volatility, design is a key element for people’s present and future. In this sense, this year the organizers of Design Week have a clear goal: to emphasize design as a tool for a sustainable future.
Halfway to achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda, launched in 2015, now is the time to take a realistic view of what has been achieved so far and what reminds to be done. It is for this reason that everyone at Barcelona Design Week believes that it’s time to give design the importance it deserves. Conferences, workshops, exhibitions, installations and a wide range of other activities included in this event will take place in different venues all over the city.
