While most Modernista architects avoided straight lines, Puig i Cadafalch focused on the triangle in his design of Casa de les Punxes. Only the towers on the edges of the main facades are curved.

Nestled on the narrow Carrer de Montsió just off Portal de l’Àngel, Casa Martí is a brick building with large pointed arches lining the street, containing simple stained glass windows—more northern European than Catalan in appearance.
