Palau Centelles is one of the most notable and best preserved examples of an urban manor house from the Late Middle Ages. Lluís de Centelles built this palace at the end of the 15th century and beginning of the 16th century on a previous house from the 13th century.
It has three facades made of Montjuïc stone ashlars. The one that faces the Baixada de Sant Miquel stands out for its 15th century voussoir portal and its windows with late Gothic moldings. The interior patio, rectangular in plan, has a covered staircase that forms a gallery. It was built between the 15th and 16th centuries, although the first section of arcades is an addition from the 19th century. It also preserves some Renaissance features, such as the sculpted decoration of the access door to the main floor.
