The Museu Tèxtil specialises in the preservation, study and promotion of textile culture. The museum's aim is to broaden public knowledge of textile heritage, thereby heightening public awareness of a heritage that is an intrinsic part of the country's culture. The Museum was founded in 1946. Today it is a Consortium formed by the City Council of Terrassa and the Provincial Council of Barcelona. The work centres mainly on the country´s industrial textile heritage. General admission is €3 and €1.50 for concessions.
