Espai Bombers-Prevention Park has been located in Carrer Lleida, very close to Plaça Espanya, since 2016. This space aims to promote research and publicize the history of the Barcelona Firefighters in the field of prevention and self-protection.
This space displays one thousand pieces related to the Barcelona Fire Department, including the Delayage pump, known as Genoveva, one of the most iconic vehicles of the Fire Department. There are also utensils that have been used for many years in their work. The visit is divided into five themed sections: vehicles, parks and barracks, communications, firefighters, and equipment. These 5 areas are complemented by audiovisual content that allows visitors to interact and discover the work of firefighters and how they act in an emergency situation.
A museum space that highlights the history of the Barcelona Fire Department, and offers free visits, family workshops and guided tours so that you can feel like a firefighter for a day!
