Taking the musical influences of her adolescence and turn them into a series of eclectic songs, Ximena Sariñana's fifth album Adolescent Love shows her evolution in all the senses with rhythms and sounds from mariachi, cumbia, trap and even grunge, which considerably marked this stage in her life.
Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, this singer-songwriter and actress has released five studio albums: Mediocre (2008), Ximena Sariñana (2011), No todo lo puedes dar (2014), ¿Dónde bailarán las niñas? (2019) and Amor adolescente (2021). In 2019 she received three Latin Grammy nominations and two at the MTV MIAW 2019. In addition, she was the winner of the Gato Blanco award as a change agent at the MTV MIAW. She has collaborated with artists as varied as Miguel Bosé, Natalia Lafourcade, Tegan & Sara, Dillon Francis, Ana Torroja, LP, Alejandro Sanz, Leiva and Delaporte. As an actress, she has participated in series, soap operas and movies. Her altruism and activism has placed her as a spokesperson for Greenpeace and The Young Center and she is also the first official ambassador of UN Women in Mexico and Latin America.
