The best stories are often born out of coincidences: Albert Wieder, Thomas Gansch and Leonhard Paul, all members of the Austrian septet Mnozil Brass, started playing an encore together at the end of each concert.

They played a new one on each tour, spontaneously and practically without any rehearsal at all, simply doing from the stage what is essential in music: communicating with one another, and with their audience. Concert by concert, they developed a whole repertoire with songs from their three musical universes, including songs by George Michael, Franz Schubert, Chuck Mangione, Johann Strauß, Toots Thielemans, Udo Jürgens, Henry Mancini, Billy Joel and a very long etcetera.
