When he published Maxinquaye, Adrian Nicholas “Tricky" Matthews was an indecipherable mystery on the underground music scene. 25 years later, this debut album remains relevant, and a cornerstone of the foundation of what would become the Bristol sound. 

Tricky's career ended up overflowing the label that he defined himself while collaborating with artists such as Björk, Neneh Cherry, PJ Harvey, Bobby Gillespie or Grace Jones. This September he released his most inspired album in over a decade, the very dark Fall to Pieces.

He performs this fall at the Festival Mil.leni in Barcelona.
