The Wind, Victor Sjöström (USA, 1928)
Letty Mason leaves the green lands of Virginia and moves to the desert landscape of the American West in order to live there with relatives where she is unsettled by the ever-present wind and sand.
It is a film of indisputable visual power. There have been many who have thought they heard the sound of the wind while viewing this film.
Sjöström's film features the interpretation of Lillian Gish, the symbolic protagonist of David W. Griffith's great melodramas.
Film will be screened in its original version with Catalan intertitles.
