The commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the death of the Renaissance composer Josquin Des Prés is the pretext that motivates the visit of the famous British choral ensemble The Tallis Scholars, directed by Peter Phillips.
In addition to the works of Des Prés, the program includes other great names from this long period in the history of music, such as Tallis, Byrd, and Allegri; the group will also make a foray into the 20th century accompanied by Arvo Pärt.
Another of the great attractions of this production is the conjunction of The Tallis Scholars with one of the house groups, the Cor Jove del Orfeó Català, which will join the concert for the interpretation of the 40-voice motet Spem in alium.
