The Science of Pixar is an exhibit designed to give visitors a unique look at what goes on behind the screen and to discover the process used to create Pixar films. Visitors will begin their immersion with a video chronicling the process Pixar uses to turn an idea into a film, and will then be able to walk through the exhibition and visit, in the order they choose, the eight sections chronicling the Pixar production process
Each of the eight domains—modeling, rigging, surfaces, sets and cameras, animation, simulation, lighting, and rendering—includes:
- Digital activities that will offer visitors the opportunity to explore the real-world challenges facing the Pixar production team.
- Physical activities that will allow visitors to get tactile experiences to help them better understand what happens in the virtual world created by Pixar.
- Video stories in which Pixar employees share information about the complex challenges the company has overcome in the development of its films.
- Interviews with Pixar employees highlighting the variety of careers required and expanding visitors' views on what it means to work in a STEAM field.
Immerse yourself in the work of the company's artists and experts in animation and computer science, discover what is behind each of its famous films and, especially, all the related aspects with the STEAM disciplines: science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
