The Pharcyde broke borders on the West Coast in the early 1990s, when gangsta rap dominated the hip hop scene. The group remained faithful to its jazz sound and its ingenious lyrics.
Their classic debut album Bizarre Ride II Pharcyde was released 30 years ago and has been a great influence for the generations that emerged after them.
Their second album, Labcabincalifornia, the late J Dilla (Jay Dee) was in charge of most of the production, with classics such as "Runnin'' and "Drop." The group is easily up to groups such as A Tribe Called Quest" and "De La Soul".
For the first time in more than 15 years the three original members are touring Europe and could not leave Barcelona out of their agenda. Wait for all the classics like "Drop," "Runnin,'' "Oh Shit" and "Otha Fish"!
