Dust off your running shoes and get ready for one of the most popular races in Barcelona—the Cursa de Bombers.
The Cursa de Bombers has been celebrating the firefighters of Barcelona for over two decades, and each year hundreds of fully-equipped bombers run the race together with thousands of citizens. It is one of the most popular 10 kilometer races in the city and will celebrate its 27th edition this year on Sunday, November 8th.
The route follows the main thoroughfares of central Barcelona with its start and finish at Avinguda Marquès de l’Argentera, continuing along some of Barcelona's most iconic streets, combining wide avenues, fast sections and the unmistakable atmosphere that makes this race the city's biggest running festival. Principal streets in the run are: Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, Avinguda del Paral·lel, Passeig de Colom, Passeig de Sant Joan, Carrer de Casp, Via Laietana, Avinguda Marquès de l’Argentera, Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes, Avinguda del Paral•lel, Passeig de Colom and Carrer de Rocafort.
