In 2018, the multi-instrumentalist Sergi Sirvent, one of the most prolific creative forces in jazz and improvised music in this country, composed “And Cycles” based on a conversation with Tempe Hernández about the concept “body of work." Sirvent then began to write a series of sketches based on this same idea.
The purpose of this process was to forget a unique concept in order to blaze new trails in composition. This is unexpected, unpredictable, deep, mantra music. This concert promise to be a journey in sound with melodies that are chords and chords that turn out to be melodies.
