There are those who believe that punk is a fire that destroys everything in its path. Actually, the genre is more like a rain (a downpour, if you will) that feeds the earth with voltage and attitude. This is how the flowers that Scowl cultivated in their debut, How Flowers Grow, flourish, struggling between melodic roundness and the howl of raspy hardcore. The ability for the tupa-tupa and the earworms to join hands (and to introduce unexpected instruments, like the sax that runs through "Seeds to Sow") has opened a path through which the group led by Kat Moss advances with a firm step and learning new movements, like the addictive "Psychic Dance Routine" that baptizes the group's most recent EP.
