Since this tragedy by Shakespeare was first written, Romeo and Juliet's impossible love has continued to be a quintessential artistic theme. In this concert, the two very young trombone players, Polina Tarasenko and Iván Plaus, will also perform Concert per a dos trombons i banda (Concert for two trombones and band) by Ricardo Mollá, the eminent trombone player and composer from Valencia. Commissioned by the International Trombone Festival, it is dedicated to two great trombone players, Jörgen van Rijen and Michel Becquet.
