In the 1990s, there was a quartet of young people. One being Joshua Redman, who became one of the most spectacular phenomena in the history of jazz. Apart from the tenor and soprano saxophonist, the band was made up of pianist Brad Mehldau, double bass player Christian McBride and drummer Brian Blade. They recorded an album in 1994, MoodSwing, which argued that jazz should come out of the catacombs of snobs and go back to being popular, fun and intense music. Their life as a quartet was short-lived, it didn't last even two years, because the four of them were potential leaders and highly sought-after musicians. Now, almost 30 years later, the quartet is called Redman · Mehldau · McBride · Blade, they have recorded a new album, RoundAgain, and propose a unique and unrepeatable tour, A MoodSwing Reunion. Long live jazz!
