Organist Raphael Wressnig is a talented player who exhibits an energetic, dynamic style which he describes as "organ-heavy soul and funk." Syncopated rhythms of African-American music are brought to life by Wressnig's hands and feet.

The Austrian musician combines original voices and melodies with the sound of the keyboard and at the same times plays an unstoppable bass. He is also the creator of his own unique style in which he mixes elements of soul, funk, jazz and blues.

Wressnig and his band, The Soul Gift Band, have released over twenty albums recorded in New Orleans, and have collaborated with the likes of Jon Cleary, George Porter Jr. and drummer James Gadson. They play the Mas i Mas Festival in Barcelona.
