Organist Raphael Wressnig is a talented musician, who exhibits an energetic, dynamic style which he describes as organ-heavy soul and funk.Syncopated rhythms of African-American music are brought to life by Wressnig's hands and feet. The Austrian musician combines original voices and melodies with the sound of the keyboard and at the same times plays an unstoppable bass. He is also the creator of his own unique style in which he mixes elements of soul, funk, jazz and blues. He is considered to be the "Best Organist of the Year" by the readers of Downbeat magazine. 

Wressnig and his band, The Soul Gift Band, have released over twenty albums which were recorded in New Orleans and have collaborated with the likes of Jon Cleary, George Porter Jr and drummer James Gadson. 

This performance will feature a collaboration with stellar artist Gisele Jackson, one of the most important voice in African-American music. She is an artist who has worked with Ray Charles, Donna Summer and James Brown and has recorded hits such as "Love Commandments."
