London band Portico Quartet has always been hard to pin down. Sending out echoes of jazz, electronica, ambient music and minimalism, the group created its own singular, cinematic sound.
From the band’s 2007 breakthrough Knee-Deep in the North Sea to the self-titled recording Portico Quartet in 2012 and the heralded Art In The Age Of Automation in August 2017, this group has defied categorization.
The band comes on its first trip to Spain with the album Memory Streams (Gondwana Records, 2021) and a new EP Next Stop, released in March.
