Ever since Thomas Lauderdale founded Pink Martini in 1994, the Portland-based band (Oregon, USA) has been playing its multilingual repertoire on stages and concert venues throughout Europe, Northern Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America and North America. The group's live performances, which move among the genres of jazz, bolero and canción melódica, are authentic tours around the world through music. Standards and songs we all know alternate with originals by this group of virtuosos that has created its own genuine style by renovating the classics. With more than three million albums sold, this small and timeless orchestra that dreams of a more benevolent world returns to the Castell de Peralada Festival in what will be the group's only summer stop in Catalunya. For the occasion, the night will be featuring the elegance of China Forbes and the sensuality of Storm Large, who will be sharing the stage (along with another surprise guest or two). It will be a night of unmistakable glamor, cosmopolitan diversity and joy that is sure to transform the Peralada auditorium into a small world of happiness.
