Greek double bass player Petros Klampanis is one of the greatest names on the New York music scene. He has forged his own identity, marked by Eastern and Western influences with nods to pop, classical music, jazz, folk and other creative styles. Klampanis has worked with a variety of figures such as Greg Osby, Shai Maestro, Gilad Hekselman, Ari Hoening, Antonio Sánchez and Snarky Puppy; he has played at festivals in Europe and the US, and venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and The Blue Note.
He has led his trio for more than a decade, collaborating with two musicians from different parts of the world and creating music in which he explores his facet as a composer. The music he produces is based on, energy, sensuality and, above all, musical excellence. They will light up the stage this autumn at Jamboree Jazz Club.
