The Mas i Mas festival welcomes Pere Soto, a virtuosic and versatile guitarist. With a propensity for experimenting in various music genres —from manouche to jazz fusion and beyond — Soto has worked with musicians of great stature, such as Dave Douglas, Lou Donaldson, Jeff Ballard, the Rossy brothers, Perico Sambeat and Han Bennink. Some of them appear on Pere Soto's self-titled discography, which was released in 1989.

Currently, Soto resides in Mexico. This summer, however, he will cross the pond for a special performance in Barcelona in the company of Traver, Gálvez and Heredia — three giants of jazz with whom he has formed quartet offering original and classic gypsy jazz classics.
