Conversaciones is the title of an extraordinary album in which the Canarian violinist, Pablo Rodríguez and the Cuban pianist, Humberto Ríos, explore the links between the Canary archipelago and the island of Cuba through jazz, folklore and impressionist classical music. The result is a fluid, suggestive and delicious dialogue in which unique sounds are heard, especially when the violin is turned into a small guitar or a percussion instrument, and the piano is played from within.

Without losing sight of the melodic component, Rodríguez and Ríos play with improvisation, landscaping and create high-voltage atmospheres. Together producing a sound that combines the jazz and folklore of the Canary Islands as well as that of Cuba.  A sound which they will be presenting once again this autumn at the Jamboree.
