Summer is back and with it “Cinema a la Fresca” at L’illa Diagonal! On Thursday nights in July, the L'illa Diagonal shopping center transforms its Jardins de Sant Joan de Déu into an outdoor movie theater to watch projections on a huge screen with high-quality sound. What better plan for summer nights than to watch a movie in the open air?

Pack your own picnic to enjoy during the showing, or if you're short on time you can pick up take-away at one of the L'illa restaurants. It's the perfect plan for a summer evening with family, friends or as a couple.

• July 7: Belfast, Kenneth Branagh, UK, 2021, 98'
• July 14: Coda. Los sonidos del silencio, Siân Heder, USA, 2021, 111'
• July 21: Minari. Historia de mi familiam Lee Isaac Chung, USA, 2020, 115'

All films are shown dubbed in Spanish. Doors open at 21:00, screenings start at 22:00. Tickets must be purchased in advance online at the L'illa website. General admission is €4.50 and includes a pre-assigned lawn chair.
