This essential Howard Hawks film focuses on the world of aviation and the spirit of sacrifice and enthusiasm it requires. This adventure-style cinema features extraordinary flight sequences and characters who bear the weight of life—and death—with great stoicism.

Focusing on a group of American pilots working across the Andes, this 1939 film features some of the characteristics that are present in many other Hawks films: a sense of friendship, professionalism, heroism and, in this film in particular, also cowardice and the spirit of sacrifice.

Screening will be in original version (English) with Catalan subtitles.
