Joseph Edward Mulherin, better known by his stage name Nothing, Nowhere, is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter.
In 2015, he decided to share his songs on Soundcloud under this moniker. Just two years later, he published his first album entitled Reaper, whose emo rap sound intertwined with electric guitars impressed the prestigious The New York Times, which defined it as "one of the most promising works of 2017.” Jon Caramanica, a notoriously tough music critic for the newspaper, chose Reaper as the best album of the year.
For his latest work entitled Trauma Factory, Mulherin composed almost 100 songs and selected the 15 best ones. He refuses to follow strict rules about what kind of sound he should create. The result of this approach has produced an album rich in variations which he is set to perform this February at La Nau in Barcelona.
