Món Llibre 2026
Children's Literature Festival
to
Once again it’s time for Món Llibre, a literary experience for young and old that this year transforms itself into a portal to travel around the world, time and emotions through books.
This year the festival explores space in children's literature. Space, as Georges Perec wrote, is a doubt. It must be conquered and signified with each appropriation, with each practice. This is, if possible, more important in childhood, when we are giving meaning to the world. The physical space during the first years of life is labile and changing. It tends to lose its usual contours thanks to the intense exercise of the imagination, because the creatures have the ability to overcome realities and transform places with imaginary practice. The imaginary cartographies of childhood overflow and fill children's works of all time.
The 2026 edition explores this childish ability to imagine possible worlds on everyday places, while allowing us to talk about spaces built for children, explore imaginary territories or stop at one of the most relevant aspects of current children’s production, which places the same book and the page as a physical space of fiction.
