Mirla Riomar is a singer and songwriter born in Salvador de Bahía who, through her music, explores the ancestry and social roots of Brazil where history and culture has been merged, marked by colonization. She is a descendant of Africans through her gather, and indigenous peoples through her mother.

Now, the artist presents Afrobrasileira, her first album. This set of original songs tells her story, and is wrapped in a range of rhythms that highlights the cultural richness of her native land. Mirla presents a side of Brazil with a style of her own, a fusion of the rhythmic roots of the Bahians with strokes of jazz and soul, as well as the use of additional electronic effects.

In addition to delighting the audience with her powerful and characteristic voice, Mirla proposes a dynamic and visual show that always including a lot of dancing and audience participation.
