Born into a strict fundamentalist Christian home in sinful Memphis and raised in evangelical Abilene, he experimented with music and narcotics, was seduced and abandoned by a femme fatale, spent a brief stint in county jail, met failure, bankruptcy, drug addiction and rehab centers. All before the age of 20.
Micah P. Hinson, is a singer-songwriter, not only does he compose well, he's also a novelist and a guy who shies away from media attention. Micah likes small towns, abandoned churches, old acoustic guitars and like Johnny Cash, he also loves to wear black.
His new album I Lie to You emerges after five days and five nights of recording in a bare recording room in Irpinia, in southern Italy and an exquisite production by Alessandro Asso Stefana.
