Launched  in 2003 with the aim of providing first class cultural activity during the city's quietest month, the Mas i Mas Festival has become a classic on Barcelona's summer nightlife scene. Over the years it has hosted hundreds of artists from different genres such as, flamenco, jazz, soul, techno funk and classical.

Local and international acts will be providing the entertainment in the more than 100 concerts that take place in three main venues: Moog, Los Tarantos and Jamboree. This year's edition opens with a concert by Mingus Epitaph – Clasijazz Orchestra at the Palau de la Música Catalana.
