Martinho da Vila is one of the greatest names in samba and a star of Brazilian music. At 85 years old, he is full of energy and is living one of his best years.
He has been internationally recognized with the Latin Grammy award for musical excellence in 2021 and is being honored by the samba school of his heart, Vila Isabel.
It will be a special night dedicated to lovers of Brazilian rhythm where he will play his greatest hits, such as "Casa de Bamba," "Devagar Devagarinho," "Canta Canta, Minha Gente," "Madalena do Jacu," "Disritmia" and "O Pequeno Burguês" together with his band: Gabriel Aquino (guitar), Gabriel Policarpo and Bernardo Aguiar (percussion), João Rafael (bass), Alaan Monteiro (cavaquinho) and Maíra Freitas (piano).
