The last edition of the Terrassa Jazz Festival led to the premiere of MIGRA, a quintet project led by singer Marta Garrett and saxophonist Irene Reig. MIGRA is an innovative venture, focused on the role of the saxophone and the voice as the main melodic instruments, with themes of their own authorship, by both artists, and a wide range of styles and influences. Irene Reig is one of the most restless performers of the new generations of jazz musicians. A member of the collective and record label The Changes, she has recorded works such as Views (Discmedi, 2017), IAPSIS (The Changes, 2019) and Mira (The Changes, 2021). As for Marta Garrett (Lisbon, 1994), she is a teacher at the Taller de Músics and collaborates on various projects in Barcelona and Lisbon. Her styles are as diverse as jazz, hip-hop and Brazilian music.
