Born in Salamanca, Luismi Segurado is a composer and pianist who returned home from San Sebastián when the global pandemic hit. There he created the beautiful album that is Hociology. He is one of the great talents on the new piano jazz scene in Spain and in recent years, Segurado has been a regular in the city of Barcelona. He previously worked with a trio line-up, and now returns to the stage with a quintet, offering a brand-new repertoire inspired by the seminal work of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Horace Silver and Thelonious Monk.
