Lucas Vidal is a multifaceted musical composer of global international renown and one of the 100 most important creatives according to Forbes (2019). His professional career has brought recognition from around the world from audiences and critics alike, as well as many prizes, of which the most notable are two Goya Prizes for Palmeras en la nieve, directed by Fernando González Molina, and Nadie quiere la noche, directed by Isable Coixet, and an Emmy.
Born in Madrid into a family indissolubly entangled with music, his musical interest became apparent at a very young age. The soundtrack of his teenage years was marked by Ennio Morricone and John Williams, two shining stars who have been his Norths. In 2019, after extending his training at the Julliard School of Music in New York and graduating with a joint degree in Music for Cinema and Composition with Magna Cum Laude from Boston, Lucas Vidal decided to move to Los Angeles. There, in 2012 he had the opportunity to compose the soundtrack for the blockbuster Fast and Furious 6.
This summer, Lucas Vidal is in Peralada to present Karma. Karma is an electronic work that seeks to break the mold of the traditional concert by making the evening an experience, a voyage, an explosion of the senses that transports the audience to a world of profound, impactful images and sonorities that invite us to reflect amidst a unique atmosphere. A concert that brings closer two worlds that are in principle so far apart—classical and electronic music—in a profound, subtle and elegant way, offering an unforgettable experience to those who witness it.
