As the group put it: “We are porteñ@s and cumbianchero pirates and this journey began with the desire to have fun and dance.” La Porteña y los Piratas is a festive electro-cumbia group—“an evangelist of rhythm and good vibes”—that made its debut in 2019 as part of the big annual festival in the Raval district of Barcelona. The group's approach is fast and energetic, as if enjoying life means dancing.
