Joan Manuel Serrat returns to the stage with one last tour, El Vicio De Cantar 1965-2022 (The Vice of Singing 1965-2022), which he intends to be his personal farewell to the audience with whom he has shared his life and music for more than half a century. A farewell that could not happen anywhere other than on the festival's stage, where Serrat has performed consistently for more than 35 years. Joan Manuel Serrat has admitted to feeling affection towards the Castell de Peralada Festival and has described it as “a pleasure and a vice.” These were the artist’s words as he stood in front of the audience in the auditorium during one of his performances.
After announcing his retirement after a 56-year-long career filled with success, the “kid from Poble Sec,” as he is affectionately known, returns to the Peralada Festival to say his last farewell to an audience with whom he has shared a long-lasting relationship. As part of this last tour, one of the most important singer-songwriters, poets and composers of Spain and of Latin America will play in Peralada on the night of July 16 before bringing down the curtain on his career in late 2022 in Barcelona, his hometown.
