In a present where jazz evolves drinking from the sounds that have shaped its history, Jazz Pretenders delves into the territories of fusion with success and originality, obtaining a result in which jazz is impregnated with fast-paced rhythms, groove and creative improvisation.

After Camí de l’horitzó (Blaxound Records) and Pretensions Elèctriques (Quadrant Records, 2014), Jazz Pretenders restarted the engines of its electric jazz with Big Jump (Blue Moon, 2021). The quartet is voiced by Marian Barahona in two themes of this work.

Jordi Blanch (The Excitements, Betty Harris, The Otis Redding Show, Enma Fernandez, Aishah Davis Blues Band, Riders, Justerini & Blues) is the soul and undisputed leader of the group. He has consistently managed to turn the project into a great band with more than a decade of experience and an original repertoire.
