Jane Birkin hadn’t released an album for 12 years, when Enfant d'Hiver came out in 2008. Now shes back with her first album to include songs in English ("Ghosts," "Catch Me if You Can") These songs show a another side of Birkin, different from the one we know through the songs composed for her by her partner, Serge Gainsbourg. This new facet emerges from the songs written by the artist herself which, like "Cigarettes," show us a talented creator who also delves into a sad episodes from her life such as, the death of her daughter.

The French musician, composer, actor and performer Étienne Daho, one of the many artistic heirs to chanson française, has the job of orchestrating Birkin's return to the stage, who at times sings brand new songs as well as songs created 20 years ago.
