Into Dad’s Woods, Vero Cratzborn, (2019, Belgium)

Gina is a teenager living with her family on the edge of a forest. She professes great admiration for her father, Jimmy, despite his unpredictable whims and follies. This apparent normality is broken when Jimmy’s actions become untenable and the family’s fragile balance is at stake.

Vero Cratzborn draws on memories of her own experiences and portrays the fine line between normality and mental illness through the eyes of childhood.

The film is a part of the Brain Film Festival at the CCCB, and includes a video post-screening with director Vero Cratzborn. Film will be screened in original version with Spanish subtitles.
