In October 2021, the United Nations recognized for the first time the human right to a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment. This represented a historic achievement, resulting from the demands of the international climate and environmental movement, as well as a breakthrough in the fight for climate justice. Although late in coming, this international recognition assumes the environmental crisis as a human rights crisis, due to its effects on people's lives and most fundamental rights.
Gretchen C. Daily and Asunción Ruiz, two renowned environmentalists with a long history of warning about the dangers and consequences of environmental degradation, engage in a dialogue to analyze this reality and propose some actions that should allow us to rebuild the future of the planet.
The language of this debate will be Spanish and English with simultaneous translation from English and Catalan to Spanish.
